1.  Guest:  Carlespie M.A. McKinney                                             Call-in Time:  5 p.m.

Guest summary:  McKinney is author of the soon to be released book "Why They Think I'm Crazy, Except When They Really Think About It".  He is also an independent consultant/evaluator specializing in data and statistical analysis

 

 

Carlespie McKinney Bio:

After a challenging childhood, McKinney was raised by his aunt and grandmother following the death of his mother. He earned an academic scholarship to Cranbrook High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and later, earned both an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan. 

 

His first book, "Why They Think I'm Crazy, Except When They Really Think About It," is a compilation of essays written in 2009 that offer his special perspective on the times of today.  McKinney discusses such controversial topics as religion, politics, and domestic violence.

McKinney is also a screenwriter [4 screenplays] and aspiring film director. Soon to product a "short."  He believes that, "To write is to inhale and to direct is to exhale; to make films is to breathe."

 

Outside of life as a writer, McKinney is an independent consultant/evaluator specializing in data and statistical analysis.

 

He is a divorced father of four [three boys and a baby girl] and currently reside in Detroit, MI.

 

About the book "Why They Think I'm Crazy, Except When They Really Think About It":

This book is a compilation of controversial essays written over the past year on the life and times of today, offering McKinney's special perspective on such topics as religion, politics, and domestic violence.

Guest summary:   Crafter is a native Detroiter whose goal is to change the world one poem at a time.  Her first book of poetry is The Sky Is Not The Limit.

 

 

About Alicea Crafter: Alicea Crafter-Davis is changing the world with one poem at a time. While achieving her childhood goal of becoming a poet, her empowering lyrics have touched well over half a million people and her numbers are rapidly growing. Born and raised in Detroit, MI., Alicea is preparing to launch a project that the whole world can experience.

Those she has inspired are excited about the release of her first book of poetry entitled, The Sky Is NOT The Limit. Topics in each segment will uplift and energize us all. Alicea's project creatively expresses her passion for human progress. This body of work exposes our inner capabilities to overcome any obstacle while inspiring us to embrace our unique individualities. She has a passion for empowering others and her work is bound for global exposure.
