Dayton, Ohio - On Saturday, April 30, 2011, authors from across the nation will gather for the second annual Dayton Book Expo. In addition to book signings, the one-day expo will feature panel discussions for aspiring authors, activities for children in the Kidz Zone and featured author, Karen M. R. Townsend, Ph.D.
The event will be held from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Great Hall at Sinclair Community College's Ponitz Conference Center, 444 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45402. The family-friendly event is free and open to the public. Dr. Townsend's debut title, It All Started When I Stopped Using Lotion: One Woman's Journey From Chaos to Calm, is an inspirational book that provides proven techniques to help busy women balance life's demands. |
Trotwood-Madison High School Students Debut Powerful Anthology Valerie J. Lewis Coleman, expo co-founder says, "Our inaugural event drew fifty authors, almost five hundred book lovers and coverage on CNN." Coleman, who is a best-selling author and publisher, travels the country conducting self-publishing workshops. "The Dayton Book Expo is an opportunity to promote and encourage literacy in our community. We're excited to announce that Trotwood-Madison High School students will debut a Passionate Pens anthology, A Kingdom Waiting: Loss, Triumph and the Young Spirit." The debut title includes almost forty stories from students of Creative Writing classes taught by Mrs. Sarah Acton. The project is sponsored by the school and Principal Terry Logan. | |
