ARTICLE: Quick and Easy Ways to Self Publish Your Book for Free via @litdivainc

 By Joy Farrington

Lately it seems like every time you turn around another book company has added Print-on-Demand (POD) as one of their services. For example, Borders and Barnes and Noble have dipped their toes in the POD pool as self publishing has become more popular than ever. But the most well-known sites for POD services are Lulu and CreateSpace. Personally, I prefer CreateSpace because they have a higher quality paper stock than Lulu, the costs to print your books are lower, and you are automatically listed on Amazon.com. But regardless of which site you choose, it now easy to self published your book without taking out a loan or even opening up your wallet.

What's great about Lulu and CreateSpace is that they both offer free ISBN numbers for your book. Lulu or CreateSpace will be listed as the publisher but if you plan to only sell your book online this won't be a problem for you. If you do plan to have your book in book stores and you decide to use one of the free ISBN numbers; you still can get your book on the distribution list. Having your book listed with a distributor is the key to getting your book in stores like Barnes and Noble. However, since you are not listed as the publisher you have to go through Lulu or CreateSpace. They offer free distribution services to their customers, but you won't be able to contact the distributor directly since you are not the official publisher.

Another ways to cut your self-publishing cost to zilch is by typesetting your book yourself. This process alone can save you hundreds of dollars. There are many templates available for you to download for free. To find the right template for you, do a Google search for free typeset template and include your book size in the search. For example, if your book trim size is "6x9", do a Google search for "6x9 typeset template." Once you find a layout template, save it to a Word document and then copy and paste your manuscript into the document. Your manuscript margins will automatically change to the correct layout format. Afterwards look over your document thoroughly for any format corrections needed.

Both Lulu and CreateSpace offer a free book cover design wizard that walks through the steps of creating a book cover. Please note, that the book cover templates are not going to win any awards but with a little creativity and a great stock photo you can customize the available template to fit your needs. Aim for a book cover design that allows the most customization including one that allows you to include a picture. By adding a picture to your cover you make your book a more sellable product.

Once you have your book cover and inside layout design completed, you can submit your book to CreateSpace or Lulu. The process is simple, free and both website take you through the process step-by-step. Once the process is completed, add the link your website and your ready to sell your book online.

Although this tutorial is about ways you can publish your book for free, the one place you shouldn't cut cost is the editing process. You should definitely have a professional editor look over your book for content and grammatical errors. Having a book riddled with errors can be very embarrassing for authors. Editors typically charge between 2 to 4 dollars per page. Ask one of your author-friends for referrals and you might even get a discounted price. You can also try elance.com, guru.com, and odesk.com, where you can negotiate a great price for book editing services.

However, if you decided to not have your book professionally edited, ask friends, an English professor at your local community college, or someone from your writing group to look over your book before submitting your file to a POD company.

By doing your own layout for your book, creating your own book cover, and using one of the free ISBN numbers from CreateSpace or Lulu, you can quickly self-published your book without even opening your wallet.

Coupons for Publicity

I was watching Tabitha's Salon Takeover and the salon owner who used a lot of coupons to bring in business appalled her. She used the coupons in her marketing, which went out each week. One letter said, I am confused! Why didn't you use your coupon? I know where the woman got the idea; it used to be very common in Internet marketing. The salon workers and Tabitha agreed it sounded abusive and staker-ish.
The woman was desperate and trying to find a way to make money. Coupons are used as a loss leader to get you in so you buy OTHER things, not to just get you in. Workers would basically work for free because of the deep discounted and were not clued in that they were supposed to up sell the clients who came in. If they use a coupon, then they would need to be sold products and other services. Only the coupons were used and so it was a big flop all over.

The salon take over show is good TV. Not only does it give you real business insights but also makes you realize just how good your business can be. It's painful to take a look at what is happening and hilarious at the same. Not only do the salons get a makeover but also they get a TON of new business. After your business appears on TV and seems to get better, this is a great time to bring in new customers. The coupons are only for low price leaders. Coupons can make your services seem cheap, but if you can get your business on a game show, then you have some firepower. You have a reason to be interviewed by local media. You have a reason to be in the your industry trade magazines and newsletter to talk about your experience. You can use that television appearance in all your advertising: AS SEEN ON TV. It takes a tough skin to pull it off and make a good episode. It also works out great for participants in the long run. Next time you see a show wanting to feature a business, think about submitting yours. And throw out the coupon campaign if you are not ready to take it all the way to the end.

Are you ready to get the publicity you deserve? Start with a free media list at http://www.prfairyhq.com/blog/medialist

Why Blog Tours Are Great for Book Promotions

If you're like most authors you have set a goal of selling more books in the coming year. In theory setting goals regarding selling books is great. In reality many authors who have the best intentions soon give up on their goal for any number of reasons.

A primary reason is not knowing where to start. It's not for lack of what to do. Quite the contrary, it's due to so many choices.

One of my favorites is a well planned and executed blog tour. A simple definition of a blog tour is a virtual tour where you stop at (visit) a number of blogs and post relevant information.

Participating in a blog tour has replaced the need to make "personal" book store appearances. Not only do you save time, fuel costs, shipping expenses and the frustration of only a few people showing up to a traditional book signing, you can do a blog book tour from literally anywhere in the world as long as you have Internet access.

In the purest sense a blog tour is done over a specific period of time where the author "visits" several blogs.
A blog owner hosts one stop of the tour unless, of course, the owner has several blogs on which you are posting.

Some authors prefer to do sporadic guest blogging rather than a structured blog tour.

In essence, guest blogging is exactly as it sounds. You post on a blog as a guest. But, you must get the blog owner's permission to do this type of posting.

Although guest blogging has advantages a well structured blog tour can greatly enhance your tour. I have done, and advocate, both guest blogging and blog tours.

Blog tours can be among one of the most far-reaching methods of marketing your book launch. A well planned tour can reap incredible benefits.

You can build credibility and increase visibility; generate a buzz about your book; reach more of your target audience; be viewed as an expert and it's a great way for potential readers to learn more about you in a very authentic way.

Any successful book launch takes time, planning and effort. To conduct an effective tour you do need to put time into it, but done right it is definitely worth the effort.

5 Mistakes Authors Make When Doing an Online Book Launch

One of the best ways to sell lots of books from the comfort of your home is to do an online book launch campaign. When done right you can sell hundreds, even thousands of books in a very short period of time.
However, one launch is not the end all be all to a successful book. It is the start of other great opportunities. Your job is to continue to promote your book and other products and services you have available.
However, before you can do that you need to always provide incredibly high value to your market.
To get the most out of any book launch you must take specific actions and avoid common mistakes. Take a look at one of the common mistakes people make when doing an online book launch campaign.
  • Inconsistent or no follow up.If you have your systems set up you would be able to collect the contact information from many of your buyers. Once you do you can follow up. Many authors don't. Automation will lessen or alleviate this challenge.
  • Too much follow up.Over saturating the market. Be careful not to be overzealous. Keep in mind that readers are inundated with emails coming from a number of people. Do what you can to keep your value high and plan out your campaigns.
  • Getting sidetracked with unimportant tasks. Prioritize what you need to do, write a daily to do list, and learn to say no.
  • Not laying a solid foundation. This will cause you to build a campaign that can quickly fall apart. It is better to take time to put your systems in place in order to have a smooth running campaign rather than jumping from thing to thing not achieving the results you desire.
  • Resting on your laurels. Simply put, keep at it. Think of other ways you can serve your readers. Look at the big picture.
Take time to put a good promotions plan together to reap the greatest benefits. You will be glad you did.

FREE Reports Are a Great Marketing Tool for Authors

Looking for a great way generate interest in you and your books while developing a revenue stream. Try your hand at low-cost reports.

We've all heard stories of people making boatloads of money online by selling information products. Yet for most people making their first $100 would make them very happy. You see, once you make your first $100 the next $100 is much easier.

And, once someone has expressed an interest in one of your information products they are more likely to buy your books. That is if the reports contain high quality information.

A report can be one of many information products you, as an author, offer to your market. Information products include books, CDs, MP3s, white papers, reports, teleseminars, webinars, Podcasts, etc. In the Internet context, the term refers to electronically deliverable, knowledge-based products.

Anything that contains knowledge and you can deliver it electronically is considered an information product.

One of the easiest (and quickest to create) information products around is a report. And yet, many people have no idea where to start, how to market and how to turn their information into profits. Let's start at the beginning.

If you can write a book, write articles and do blog posts, you can write a report.

There are ample benefits to creating low-priced reports. Nowadays, many consumers would rather pay a few dollars for a fast solution to their problem than have to search around for the information (even if it's free).

It doesn't matter what topic, market or industry, reports are a great way to provide solutions to readers and generate great revenue with very little work.

Reports are also a great way to build your opt-in subscriber list. Most people have heard, "The gold is in the list." This is so true. With a good opt-in list of subscribers you can literally make money at the press of a button.

Reports are so easy to create that you can often do so with little or no money out-of-pocket. Sure, there is time involved, but when you consider that you can generate hundreds (and even thousands) of dollars in revenue from a 10 - 20 page plus report, the time invested is worth it.

Because your reports will be delivered electronically, there are no storage costs. With physical products you have to keep inventory on hand, find a place to store them and often watch them collect dust. This won't happen with online reports.

After the initial costs of developing your report, there are literally no additional costs to continue selling them.

With the right systems in place you can generate excellent revenues fast, easy and with what seems like the press of a button. And, with the opt in list you build you have built-in buyers for your other books.

SEO Writing - 5 Amazing Tips For New Writers

More and more people from different countries are now considering the idea of making money through SEO writing. These people know that they can easily make money by offering SEO article writing services to affiliate marketers, ebusiness owners, bloggers, and to anyone who's needing great content for their ezines, directories, ebooks, blogs, and websites.
Below are some of the most effective, compelling SEO article writing tips that you need to keep in mind if you're just starting out in this endeavor:
  1. First, learn the ropes of writing properly optimized articles from the experts. You'll surely have an advantage over your competitors or those people who are selling the same writing services in the online arena if you know what SEO experts know. This is the reason why I suggest that you take advantage of seminars and training programs about these topics. You will not only get in-depth information but you'll also learn very effective insider tips and trade secrets that can help you along the way.
  2. Improve your writing skills. Exceptional writing skill is one of the things that you need to have. Before you sink your teeth into this endeavor, ensure that you have great command of the English language and that you don't have any problem putting the information that you want to share into writing. What I suggest is that you write a couple of articles and show them to expert article writers. It's best if you look at your articles through their eyes so you'll know your areas of opportunities.
  3. Always think of your readers. Don't just think about using keywords and the search engines when writing your articles. Remember, aside from making your articles searchable in the online arena, your other goal (and the more important one) is to impress your readers. So, keep these people in mind and their needs every step of the way. Choose your topics based on their needs and demands. Write your articles while taking their levels of comprehension and preferences in mind. This is the best things that you can do to ensure that your articles will come out very targeted and very impacting. As you know, this is the key to generate positive feedback from your audience.
  4. Optimize your articles. Make your articles search engine-friendly by using keywords and various white hat SEO article writing techniques. Read ebooks and other SEO-related resources to know the things that you can do and make sure that they're acceptable to giant search engines. Sprinkle popular keywords all throughout your article and make use of related terms. It's best if you place your primary keywords on your title and on each of your paragraphs (preferably within the first 90 characters). It will also help if you include the keywords on the last sentence of your SEO article.
  5. Proofread. Don't forget to review and proofread your articles. First, ensure that they're free from grammar and spelling errors. Then, make sure that your content flows smoothly. Lastly, ensure that your keywords fit perfectly or that they don't sound awkward.

Article Writing for Profits - Share Your Expertise and Make More Money

Every individual who's running an online business have one goal in mind: to make money. In order to reach that goal, you need to drive traffic to your website, earn the trust of your prospects, and later on, get them to buy from you. This is all possible if you write articles and share your in-depth knowledge in your field in the online arena.
Here are some of the most explosive article writing tips that can help you increase your profits:
  1. First thing that you need to do is to attract interested parties through your articles. This will happen if you talk about the things that your prospects find extremely interesting or relevant to their lives. Go to forums that are related to the product that you sell and read the conversation between your target audience. List down the problems that they're having, the common questions that they're asking, and the things that they're dying to know about. Choose those that are related to your chosen niche and write about them. Obviously, this will allow you to offer these people with the kind of information that they need. Don't forget to use catchy titles for your articles. Give your target audience an idea as to what's in store for them. People are more likely to pay attention if they know ahead of time what they're getting.
  2. Second step is to earn the trust and respect of your readers. Keep in mind that these people will not pay your site a visit unless you can convince them that you can offer them the kind of information and service that they need. So, make your articles speak volumes about your expertise and relevant experience. Provide your readers with in-depth information that will leave them in awe. It will also help if you make these people feel that you do understand where they are coming from and if you give them an assurance that you have what it takes to help them to get to where they would like to be.
  3. Third and the most important step is to get people to visit your website through your resource box. You cannot convert these people to buying customers unless they pay your site a visit. This is the reason why it's important that you can effectively convince them to click the link on your author box. You can get more people to respond to your call to action if you make your sales pitches benefit-driven. Tell these people the amazing information that they'll find on your website. Give them the link using anchor texts. Then, offer them with freebies like reports, newsletters, or ebooks.
  4. Convert prospects to buying customers. Once you get your readers to pay your site a visit, the next step is to get them to sign up to your list. After that, you can send them with follow-up emails and ads. Each time you contact these people, make sure that you offer them with enticing deals. It will also help if you create a sense of urgency so they'll take advantage of what you offer ASAP.

Article Marketing Secrets - 4 Techniques to Dramatically Increase Your Site's Traffic

By Sean R Mize

There are so many ways to drive traffic to your website. There's PPC advertising, blogging, forum posting, and other traffic-generating methods. But if you want something that's very straightforward and proven to be very effective, I would recommend article marketing. The process includes writing and distributing articles to different websites particularly to article directories. When done right, article marketing can help you increase your website's traffic by up to a hundredfold.
Here are some techniques that you can use to boost the number of your page views:
  1. Do some experiments and make use of different resource box. Don't limit yourself in using one resource box for each of your article. Instead, do experiments and figure out which one is more effective. Write your resource box while taking into consideration the content of your article. It's best if you can relate your call to action to your main topic. For example, if you're writing about article marketing, you can say "Do you want to know the article marketing techniques that can help you succeed in this field? Then, visit this site." Make sure that you hyperlink the keywords that you're targeting. This is proven to have positive effect on conversion rate.
  2. Ask for feedback. Most of the time, we fail to identify our own grammar and other mistakes and sometimes, we think that our articles are perfect even if that's not the case. This is the reason why I recommend that you look at your articles through the eyes of other people. Ask a friend or a neutral third party to read your articles before you distribute them in the online arena. Know what they think about your copies. Did they find your articles very informative? Did they find them interesting? What are the things that you can do improve the overall quality of your articles?
  3. Help your readers. Some article marketers are not willing to share what they know to their readers. This is the reason why they just rewrite the articles they see online and why they write the same topics over and over again. If you want to impress your readers, this is definitely not the best route to take. Based on surveys, online users are more likely to give you positive response if you tell them something that they don't know yet or if you teach them to do things on their own. If you offer useful information all the time, you can be assured that your readers will have confidence in you and they'll trust you in no time.
  4. Make use of bullet list or short paragraphs. One thing that you need to learn about online users (your target audience) is that their attention span is very limited. Reading lengthy paragraphs can be too much work for these people. This is the reason why I recommend that you breakdown your 500-word articles into several paragraphs or bullet list. Giving your readers bite-sized chunk of texts will help in easily understanding the message that you're trying to get across. When this happens, these people will be enticed to read your articles until they reach your resource box.
By the way, do you want to learn more about using articles like this to drive traffic to your website and increase online conversions?
If so, I suggest you check this out: article marketing traffic.

Is Social Media the Same As Publicity?

By Letitia Wright

Many people are doing a lot of social media because they think it is exactly the same as publicity. One person told me how they put out daily tips on Facebook and that many people thank them for the tips when they see or meet her. She felt that she got a lot of response and was happy with the dialog happening on Facebook. Facebook is a great place for your business. The Wright Rule is: Go where the eyeballs already are! Millions of people are on Facebook, so your business needs to be there also. I do not consider social media as publicity because it hardly ever results in getting a media story.
You might say, YouTube video get a lot of people on Good Morning America and on all kinds of shows. They rarely have to do with business. The videos that get a lot of attention are the latest dancing baby, or the wedding dance video or the dancing dog. It hardly ever is about something that is commercially viable. I will not say never because the Old Spice Guy (The man your man could smell like) was a big hit and he was selling a product. If you take a minute and look at the odds of putting up lots of video to get something that goes viral, you might want to do something that can get your more results.
Good old press releases still get good results. Notice I said Good. I meant that. Poorly written press releases will get you passed over. Also, trying to use a sales flyer as your press release will get you ignored. A good press release will stimulate them to use it as the written story or they will base a story off of it. You want the media to work for you. The only person getting media stories from Facebook is the guy who invented Facebook.
People say things need go viral and will even offer to make you a viral video. The truth is only the viewers determine what goes viral. People are fickle and you have to put a lot of videos up before you can hit the right nerve that makes millions of people laugh or think. By investing in real media strategies that work, you have a better chance of getting the publicity you deserve.
This is not a case against social media. I encourage everyone to take advantage of his or her Twitter, Facebook and Linked In Accounts. Learn how to use them effectively. You also need to understand the role that publicity plays in your business. It can save you money and allow you to charge more for what you do.
Dr. Wright is the founder of PR Fairy HQ, a publicity site for business owners to learn how to get the publicity they deserve. You can get a free Los Angeles Media List when you visit http://prfairyhq.com/blog/medialist

How to Social Network to Have True Success by @pamperry

Networking with Real Power - From on HIGH!

"Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality." Martin Luther King, Jr.

I have always been wired to network. I love sharing information; connecting cool people with other cool people, seeing groups come together for a common cause. There's strength in numbers. Jesus said, "I can of mine own self do nothing" (John 5:30).

Because networking is so much a part of my personality, I have been teased a lot. I had even begun to think I was a bit strange - until I realized Jesus was a networker. He had to be. He took twelve folks and revolutionized the world. He turned it upside down!

He had a life-changing message that He imparted into mankind through the networking of men. The twelve disciples told some people, and they told some people, and so on and so on....

Isn't that what life is all about? No man is an island - we all need each other. How could anyone have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they had not heard the Gospel? And how can they have heard without someone telling them? (Romans 10:14). That's the ultimate "network." Hooking people up to the "true vine" because Jesus said, "apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:1 and 5).

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King talked about networking too. He said, "As long as there is poverty in the world I can never be rich, even if I had a billion dollars...I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. No individual or nation can stand out boasting of being independent. We are all interdependent."

Networking is not always about getting. It's really about giving. Actually, you're more blessed when you give than when you receive (Acts 20:35). I have a passion for God which has caused me to have compassion for people.

We must be committed to helping people. Ephesians 4:3 says, "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." When we network together, we weave a bond of ultimate power. Creating alliances and cultivating relationships is critical today, especially in business.

Networking is love in action (see 1 Corinthians 13). The master networker, best-selling author of "Success Runs in Our Race" and publisher of the Success Guide, George C. Fraser said, "I think success really involves the situations you get yourself into and the people you meet. No one can be successful by themselves - it's the relationships that you develop with the people around you. Throughout my life, I've had people who helped me do better."

Success does run in our race. Fraser has been on a mission to link African Americans together for the betterment of them all. For more than ten years, he has published The Success Guide to accomplish this goal. More than an upscale directory of contacts, it is the only vehicle that has African American professionals from 7 different countries and 75 cities. "It's networking in an instant with real people getting real results," said Fraser. He is also the author of the new book, "Click."

The Bible tells us in Matthew 25:39 to "love your neighbor as yourself." This is the key to a successful life. Another recurring phrase in the Bible is "one another." We are to: love, instruct, encourage, stir up, lift up, rejoice with, prefer, serve, pray with, submit to, admonish, minister to, fellowship with and edify one another. Sounds like networking to me.

Nobody gets to the highest peaks without help from others. Networking is the identification of relationships for the purpose of sharing information and resources. Taking time for people and communication is the key. Don't ever get too busy to share information or your wisdom.

Success comes when you hook up with like-minded folks and kindred spirits. Moving ahead often involves reaching out and being willing to give. We reap what we sow.

So, how does one "network" for success?

Here are some practical tips to implement:

1. Be visible. Dress sharp and snappy. Look like someone others want to know because your image says "success." Be willing to attend functions alone. Networking expands your circle of influence, builds your personal brand, and garners support.

2. Give before you get. Sow before you reap. Look for ways to be a blessing. Share information and resources with contacts before asking them for anything. Search for their interests and goals when meeting someone new. Figure out a way to help them.Gather, collect, and distribute info. Position yourself as the "go to" person for ministry information. Provide regular updates about helpful events or books. Use an email database system like Constant Contact or AWeber to simplify the process and send information attractively.

3. Write your vision. Make it plain. Make the most of networking opportunities by having eye-catching marketing materials. Have more than a business card when going to a conference or event. Be intentional about your purpose. Have a bookmark or postcard describing your book. Offer a CD or brochure as a speaker.

4. Demonstrate your sincere faith by being a person of character and integrity. Follow the Golden Rule which says, "Treat others as you want to be treated", with respect and courtesy. Follow up and follow through. Deliver on your promises.

So be deliberate in creating partnerships, building relationships and keeping friendships. Make it your intent to be kind, really care about people, treat others with respect and value everyone.

If professionals work together, exchange ideas, contacts and learn how to joint venture - we'd really be about our Father's business and that's real power networking! Here's How to Get Publicity That Will Stick by @pamperry

Before you put yourself "Out There"... Do You have the Edge? Here's how to get it!

"You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him." John Maxwell

If you really want to "get out there" - make sure your packaging is tight. Work on the outside packaging as well as the "inside package." If not, you'll be hiring a publicist to do crisis PR for you because you'll need someone to do reputation management. And it's harder to stop bad press than to create good press!
So, what is the Edge? It's that "IT" factor that propels success in life. Do you have it? People who have the Edge share a number of characteristics. They are successful, but never at the expense of others. They are people who genuinely love and care about others. They abide by the Golden Rule and excellence (not perfection) is their goal.

They are long-term survivors in the business world, which has a way of devouring its own. They survive because they maintain friends. Relationships are the key to their success. They know more than networking.
They connect with others and click!

They keep these friends because they are loyal to them. Their networks invariably describe them, in glowing terms.

Here are some of the qualities that can help you develop the Edge - which is essential before any PR campaign is to begin.

1. DEPENDABILITY. Do what you say you will do. This can be tricky, because it involves a certain amount of self knowledge and self management. If you say you'll follow up by 9 a.m. Friday, you have to know what is feasible for you to be true to your word. How long will it take you to finish a project based on other things going on? You keep your schedule and know your work habits..
Never say, "I can not" before you've tried.

2. TRUSTWORTHINESS. You may hear gossip, but you do not have to pass it along. Don't spread something that is confidential. If you get a reputation for discretion, everyone will confide in you and you will know everything that is going on, even if you do not talk about it.

3. RESPONSIBILITY. People with the Edge accept responsibility for their actions and don't blame others if they fail. They don't make excuses and freely give credit to their associates. They are quick to apologize when they are wrong. A great trait to have!

4. COMMUNICATION. Keep in touch. Call people back. Be a nice person and write short, friendly email or regular notes to stay in touch. If you are in contact with your network of friends and associates when things are going along fine for you - you'll see that they'll be there when you need them. Don't just reach out to people when you need a "favor." People know when they are being used.

5. GENEROSITY. Make a habit of being generous and kind. Do things for free without expecting a return for it. Volunteer. Give away information or small bits of advice. Pass along job leads and provide tips to those looking for a job. Look for opportunities to put people in touch with each other. Be known as a "go to" person. Someone who is a "giver" not a "taker."

If you recommend a friend for a job or give them a lead for some business, you have given that friend a tremendous compliment and you have earned some long-term loyalty.

Even though you sometimes must say no to a request, make sure in some way you are always saying yes. Here is one way to do it. Whenever you decide you can not do something, give a credible reason then offer to help in some other way: "I can not attend this event because I am right in the middle of this assignment, but I would give you another person who would be willing to go and they would really get a lot out of it."

6. COURTESY AND KINDNESS. If you can't pray about it - don't talk about. Speak well of people or do not speak at all. This includes people who have fired you, wronged you or spoken badly about you. This is really how to have the Edge! This will toughen you up and mold your humility.

Display good manner at all times, particularly with those who actively antagonize you. It will drive them absolutely crazy. It may also win them over. The Golden Rule at work - will yield Gold every time. Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you!

7. INTEGRITY AND ETHICS. If you can't do it in front of your child, then don't do. If it makes you uncomfortable or you feel a "ping" in your spirit - that's a sign that is telling you you've crossed the line and in a danger zone. Develop a standard of behavior you can live with. Let your conscience be your guide. Let peace rule. This means when you make a tough decision, you feel you have done the right thing, even if it hurts.

8. PERSISTENCE. No one is ever a success in life unless they know how to persist. This is probably the most single way to get the EDGE!

Victory is assured to those who endure - until the end. Almost everyone has one good idea, one good effort, one good impulse. People with the Edge prove themselves by repeatedly being willing to do what others will not. They are not quitters. They are relentless and will try every angle and research every opportunity - and because they are relationship driven - will enlist the help of their friends.

People with the Edge can get everyone in the boat rowing in the same direction.

Before you think a good photo, brochure, corporate logo, website and press kit will give you the Edge - think again. The Edge is takes time to develop. Character counts and it starts on the inside. It starts at home. It starts within.

No amount of PR can promote the right message if you don't have the right interior motives. It takes time to become that sharp, so you might as well start now: in business, you are only as good as your relationships - with God, Yourself and others.

ARTICLE: How to Create a Monthly Coaching Business in 30 Days or Less

By Sean R Mize

In this article, I am going to lay out my entire simple plan for creating a coaching business from scratch, in 30 days or less, using article marketing as your marketing base, using your own expertise as your knowledge base, and using my proprietary system of fast coaching program creation "on the fly" as your coaching model.

Note: I have never revealed all of these details to the general public, I normally reserve this information for my highest level Platinum coaching clients. Why am I revealing this now to you?

Because I want to see you succeed. You see, this year has been tough financially for a lot of people, especially entrepreneurs and people who have service oriented businesses. And the thing is, I know exactly what to do and how to do it to help those entrepreneurs break free and create their own coaching program fast, by ignoring many of the "rules" others have created about coaching programs. And until now I have only shared these steps with a few people.

But I feel as though by not sharing it with more people, with many more people, I am holding you back. So I want to stop the madness, and start enabling you to have the same success I do by coaching others, simply and easily.

And let me tell you this. It's not hard. Many gurus and coaches make this hard. They make it sound like it is alot of work to create a coaching program. And the way they do it, it is. But let me tell you this, my first coaching program...I thought of it, asked my subscribers what they wanted it to look like and include, launched it, and enrolled 22 clients - in about 2 weeks start to finish. And each week I created a lesson for them. It was really easy the way I did it.

And in today's article, I am going to show you how to do it yourself, from scratch.

Obviously, if you already have some things in place, then you are a step up already. Like if you have subscribers, buyers, etc.. But I am going to write this from the perspective of starting from scratch, you can simply go faster if you already have some things in place.

Here's the plan:

I am going to give you the background first, then I will give you the step by step details.

Background:

You are going to quickly build a list of subscribers who perceive you as the right expert for them, to teach them what they need to know.

Then you are going to launch to them a simple coaching program that meets their needs, is easy for you to deliver, and creates monthly coaching revenue for you.

Here is an example - let's assume a $500 per month coaching program. You enroll 5 people per month. There is a bit of a snowball effect that happens.

First month: 5 clients - $2500 per month.

Second month: add 5 more - total 10 clients: $5000

Third month, add 5 more - total 15 clients: $7500

Each month you add more clients.

Of course, some months you add more than others. Some months a client or two might drop out. But the idea is that your income grows each month. If you charge more for coaching than $500 per month, and sign more clients, it happens faster. If you charge less than $500 per month, or sign less than 5 new clients per month it grows slower. But all in all, the idea is that each month you add more guaranteed monthly revenue than the month before.

Do you like this model?

If not, the rest of this article is not for you.

Just close this page.

But...if you like this model...keep reading...because I can teach you exactly how to do it.

Here's how:

You MUST have a squeeze page to create a subscriber list. You cannot sell a coaching program the way I teach to a cold market. That means you MUST build a list of subscribers with whom you can build trust and relationship. Create a 10 day credibility campaign where you send an email a day out to your list, not selling anything, just building trust and credibility.

You will write about 10 articles per day to create traffic. This is easy to do if you do it like I do. Many clients when they start with me they tell me it takes them 3-4 hours to write one article. I change that fast, you cannot write 10 articles per day if it takes you 3-4 hours to write one article. Instead, you must write one article every 15 minutes, then 10 articles takes 2.5 hours per day. And this is the biggest part of this plan, so your total day is 2.5 hours writing articles,.25 hours submitting articles, then about 1/2 an hour doing everything else...so about 3.25 hours per day to build this business. There is no fluff in my model. Do only what I teach, don't do a bunch of other things like reading tons of emails, studying YouTubes, Googling things, etc., they only burn time in your day. You don't have time to burn if you want to have a full-scale coaching business in 30 days.

Here is how you write an article in 15 minutes:

Write a title - for example "How to Do xyz (your niche topic) (30 seconds)

Write the following paragraph:

In this article I am going to teach you how to do xyz. The reason I am going to teach you how to do xyz is because you need to know how to do xyz in order to be successful at abc. Here are the 3 steps I am going to teach you about how to do xyz: step one is xyz and blah blah blah. Step two is abc and blah blah blah. Step three is def and blah blah blah. If you do these three steps you will have success with xyz fast. (5 minutes)

Ready? Here are the steps:

(Note: that was exactly 100 words. Exactly. And it will be more for you because you will be spelling out xyz, abc, def, blah, blah blah. That might be 150 words!)

Back to the article:

Step one: write 75 words on how to do step one (that is about 3 sentences. Just tell them how to do it. Just like I am telling you how to do it. Simple. Keep this simple. Really simple. If you make this difficult, you won't be able to accomplish this project in 30 days. But if you make this simple, like I teach, you can. (2 minutes)

Step two: write 75 words on how to do step two (2 minutes)

Step three: write 75 words on how to do step three. (2 minutes)

(Note: do you see how easy this is? Write 100-150 words introduction using my above formula. Then 3 steps of 75 words. That gives you about 30 words. That's it. Really simple) (total time: 11 minutes 30 seconds)

Ok, back to the steps on how to create the coaching program:

Now that you are writing 10 articles per day, you should be getting about 10 subscribers per day. So after 30 days, you have 300 articles and 300 subscribers. At the end of your 10 day credibility campaign, you are going to send an email out that looks like this:

Dear subscriber,

I am in the process of creating a brand new coaching program to help you with xyz. But I want to make sure it is exactly what you need to help you with xyz. So I need your help.

What is your goal for the next 90 days with xyz?

What is the biggest thing holding you back from achieving your goal in 90 days?

By the way, if you respond personally in the next 24 hours, I will promise to personally respond back to you.

To your success,

Your Name

When they respond to the answer in 2) they will be telling you what they need to learn in your coaching program!

Then you are going to write a letter to all your subscribers telling them you have created a coaching program based on what they told you they need, and you are going to include everything everybody told you they needed.

And then they are going to sign up for your coaching program from your sales letter. Then some people won't sign up because they have questions. So you are going to send another email out asking them if they have any questions before they sign up. And then some people will sign up after that. And so on. And of course each day you are adding 10 more subscribers to your list, and after 10 days on your list, each person starts getting these emails automatically. So each day you have 10 more prospects.

And of course notice that you haven't created the coaching program until they tell you what they want, and then once they sign up, you create the first lesson based on what the first person needs. So you haven't even created your coaching program until the first person signs up. Then one week later, you create your second lesson (by now you might have 5 people signed up). Each week you simply create one more lesson.

By Sean R Mize

If you're one of those people who are offering coaching programs in the World Wide Web, you must seriously consider exerting conscious effort in positioning yourself as an expert in your chosen niche. You need to convince your prospects that you have what it takes to help them solve their problems, to learn certain things, or that you can help them get to where they would like to be. You can showcase your in-depth knowledge by writing and distributing articles online. Here are some tips that you can surely make use of:

First, make sure that you do know and fully understand the people that you're targeting. This is your best weapon in making your articles more focused, more targeted, and more impacting. Know the topics that they find extremely interesting. Get to know their problems, burning questions, and goals especially those that are related to your niche. Then, identify their preferences and levels of expertise. Through this, you'll easily figure out the techniques and writing styles to use in order to easily get through to these people.

Offer how-to guides. You'll easily be able to capture the attention of your target audience if you offer them with useful how-to guides. For example, if you're coaching other people on how to improve their social skills, you can offer them with guide on how to they can improve their self-confidence. Offer them with highly effective tips and techniques. Through this, your readers will surely be convinced that you really do know what you're doing. This is the first step to earn their trust and respect.

Put some personal touch on your articles. Your prospects would surely want to work with somebody who's amiable or someone who's very easy to work with. Project that exact image through your articles by writing using friendly, conversational tone. Be fun and witty. Tell exciting stories and make learning a fun experience to your readers. If you do this, I can say that you'll win half the battle of getting these people to do business with you.

Write more articles. One way to strengthen your expert status is to share as much in-depth information to your readers as possible. This is the reason why I recommend that you multiply the number of articles that you distribute in the online arena. Ensure that each of them is high quality, impressive, and worth your readers' time. Also, ensure that they're well-written, 100% unique, useful, and very informative.

Get feedback. Know what your readers think about your articles. Get their feedback to easily identify your strengths and weaknesses. Then, find ways on how you can improve your copies. This may mean improving your writing skills or making your articles more focused to the needs and demands of your target audience.

Valuing Your Subscribers to Ensure Continuous List Building Success

By Sean R Mize

Having a large list of targeted subscribers is still the best Internet marketing strategy around. However, as mentioned, you need to have a targeted list. Merely having a large list does not cover it.

Keep in mind that size doesn't always guarantee quality. You can still find your measure of success in list building even if you have a decent sized list. All you need to do is to figure out how you can work with your list so as to convert it into loyal customers.

First of all, you need to understand the purpose of having a list. It can serve as your instant connection with your consumers. Your list enables you to get as much information as you can about your subscribers in a matter of seconds. So if you want to test a product before fully launching it, you don't need to spend time looking for people. A responsive list can help you get answers. This means, you can save a great deal of money and time.

Your email list can provide you with an unprecedented level of access which can't be underestimated. If you make the mistake of ignoring or misusing your list, you can lose your subscribers and affect your business in an instant.

In order to enjoy continuous success, you need to give your list a good purpose and a plausible reason to exist. You can send them weekly flyers or monthly newsletters. This should give them something to look forward to. There is also a big difference if you will send them things once a week or once a month to sending them things once every 6 months or even once a year. If you will do this, you will just find yourself worrying over a reduced list.

Your subscribers should feel valued. To do this, you need to let them know that you are thinking of them. You cannot project the impression that you are ignoring them. Similar to having a virtual store with walk-in customers, if you don't pay attention to these people, they end up walking out of your store. Take note that customers can only tolerate this behavior for so long.

News can travel. So if word about those bad experiences gets out, you will have a hard time building up trust and respect in the Internet marketing world again. Thus, having an open communication with your subscribers is very essential to the success of your campaign.

How to Get a Responsive List of Subscribers for Your List Building Project

http://EzineArticles.com/5367022

One of the most vital Internet marketing principles ever implement by online gurus is list building. Having a targeted list of subscribers are essential for Internet marketing success regardless of the kind of market you are into.

Even newbies can build a mailing list. However, not everyone is successful enough to build a responsive list. Noone really said it was easy, right? There are just people who assumed that after setting up a website; traffic will just come pouring in. Sure enough, getting people to visit your site and to subscribe to your list are two different ball games. Even if you succeed in making them subscribe to your list, you still need to worry about getting them to open up your email messages.

So how do you make people open all the email messages you are sending them? Before you can think of a way to resolve this, you first need to determine the real problem here. What is making people turn away from your messages?

Truth be told, most of the people who don't get to read your message are the ones who receive them in their junk mail or SPAM boxes. Obviously, before they have the chance to read your mail, they've deleted it already.

People hate SPAM. People are afraid of those "one time offers". So now that you know the problem, find a solution. You need to do something that will make people want to open your email messages. You need to work on a way so that these people will wait for your messages instead of deleting them.

There are actually just two important things you need to consider in order to build a responsive email list. First, you need to provide something of value. Second, you need to be consistent.
Now, for the first one, it's self explanatory already. Just think of it this way - why would they waste their time opening up your email when there's nothing in it that they can benefit from? Do you know of anyone who loves opening useless email?

When it comes to being consistent, it's more of like sending email messages once a week and making sure this submission timeline is met and complied with. Consistency is a good thing. It develops trust and reliability.

With the right methods, your list building efforts will take you to the right direction. Regardless of what kind of niche you are into, building a responsive email list can be achieved with patience hard work.

Article Distribution - The Fastest Way to Build Quality Inbound Links

By Sean R Mize

It's every internet marketer's dream to get their websites to appear on top 10 search page results. These people are aware that when that happens, they'll be guaranteed of enormous traffic that will definitely lead to more sales leads and revenue.

There are so many ways to improve your page rank. One of the best and most popular is article distribution or article marketing. This is the process of submitting short and informative articles to several directories. Article marketers are allowed to insert their site's URL and talk about their products and services on the resource or author box. If their articles are accepted by the publishers, they'll instantly get quality inbound links for their site. As you know, inbound links are being considered by search engines when they're indexing websites. The more links pointing to your site, the better page rank you'll get.

If you're really serious about outplaying your competitors, you must find ways to build unlimited links for your site. There's two ways to do this. First, multiply the number of articles that you produce. If you're busy to do that, I recommend that you ask for the help of freelance article writers. Then, distribute your articles to all popular directories, ezines, and relevant blogs. Yes, it will take a lot of time but you can be assured that it will worth it. If you do this on a regular basis, you'll have better chances of getting your website to appear on the top 10 search page results.

Some Powerful Tips to succeed in article distribution

Article marketing or article distribution is really effective in pulling up page rank and in attracting high quality traffic. But remember, it will only work to your advantage if you do the process right. Here are some tips to keep in mind to ensure your success in this field:

Offer quality articles. Some article marketers tend to sacrifice the quality of their articles in their attempt to multiply their copies. This is something that you must not do at all cost. Remember, you're trying to win the trust and confidence of your readers and that will not happen if they're not impressed with your articles. So, ensure that you give these people great reading and learning experience. Load your articles with useful, valuable information and ensure that they're well-written and interesting to read.

Make your resource box powerful. Get more people to click through your resource box by simply making it enticing and very powerful. Tell your readers who you are, what you do, and give them reasons to trust you. Insert your site's URL using anchor texts. Some directories will allow you to use up to 3 links. Before you push that publish button, ensure that you use the preview feature first. This is to make sure that your articles will appear exactly how you want them to and that your links are working just fine.

Article Marketing Tips - How to Do the Process Right

Sadly, some of these people are not even aware on how to do the entire process right. This is the reason why they fail miserably in this endeavor. This article is for them. In here, I'll share some useful tips and techniques to put these people back on the right track. If you're one of them, you better read on!

Quantity vs. Quality. I am not going to deny that article marketing is a game of numbers. Article marketers are right when they say that more articles will most likely to lead to success. But if you sacrifice the quality of your articles along the way, there's no way that you can reap the kind of rewards that you're hoping for. You see, your articles, no matter how many they are, will not help you convert your readers to potential clients if they're useless or considered a piece of garbage. Who would trust you if you cannot even produce decent articles? So, keep in mind that the quality of your articles is the top priority here. Give your readers articles that are very informative, useful, and enjoyable to read and you can be assured that they'll click through your resource box.

Use mind-blowing titles. One of the most common mistakes of some article marketers is that they don't care about the kinds of titles that they're using. As long as they can put something on the headlines, they're fine with it. The danger in doing this is that you run the risk of leaving your articles unread or unopened. If online users do not find your titles to be interesting, they will not possibly waste their time on your articles. You don't want that to happen, right? So, take the time and exert as much effort as possible to ensure that your titles are nothing but perfect. They must be extremely catchy and thought-provoking. I suggest you communicate the strongest benefits that your articles can offer and that you summarize the gist of your content.

Use as many article directories as possible. Give your articles more exposure by simply distributing them on sites that have impressive page ranking and those sites that can attract thousands of people from across the globe worldwide. You can skip those sites that are not really popular and those that are not indexed by major search engines as they are considered waste of time and energy.

Offer fresh information. Don't be one of those article marketers who are too lazy to do their research and those who just rewrite the articles they see online. To ensure that your articles will stand out from the crowd, you better do extensive research and find fresh information that your readers will surely love to know.

By the way, do you want to learn more about using articles like this to drive traffic to your website and increase online conversions?

HOW TO: Help Your Child Set Up a Blog

Reporters from The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times probably didn’t expect to be joined by TechNewsKids, a blog run by 11-year-olds. Yet all three covered Apple’s press conference this September. Benno Kass and Max Iger of TechNewsKids watched the live-stream of the announcement online so that they could “live blog” its contents as soon as possible.

Simplified blogging platforms and increased access to online information — even breaking stories like the Apple announcement — make it easier than ever for Kass, Iger and other young bloggers to independently post to the web. And as they post, they’re also learning how to research, write and use a web publishing platform.

Parents should be thrilled by this educational opportunity, says Dr. Patricia Fioriello, the author of kidslearntoblog.com. Unfortunately, they’re more often unsure of how they can help their children take advantage of it.

It doesn’t need to be daunting. To help their children get started blogging, she suggests parents follow these five simple guidelines.
