The First Annual Black Literary Marketplace Expo

April 19, 20 and 21, 2011

You are cordially invited to attend the First Annual Black Literary Marketplace Expo and Exhibits. This history-making event is scheduled for April 20 and 21, 2011, and will be held at the main Detroit Public Library, located at 5201 Woodward Avenue, in Detroit, Michigan. On April 19 and 20, the registered exhibitors will visit libraries in the metropolitan Detroit area to do pre-arranged book signings. (You must be registered by February 18, 2011 in order to participate in this event.)
On April 19, the Pre-Expo Book Exhibit & Author Tour will be an all-day event at the Troy Museum & Historic Village, Troy, Michigan, Ocean Prime, Troy, Michigan, Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, Birmingham, Michigan, Southfield Parks & Recreation Center across the street from the Southfield Public Library, Southfield, Michigan.
On April 20, the Expo and Exhibits will be an all-day event at the Southfield Parks & Recreation Center, Southfield, Michigan. The Program includes Exhibitors, Speakers, Authors, Workshops.
On April 21, the Expo and Exhibits will be an all-day event at the main Detroit Public Library, Detroit, Michigan. The program includes Exhibitors, Speakers, Authors, Workshops.

The purpose of this three-day event is to bring more exposure to individuals and businesses involved in the Black literary marketplace. The goal is to provide a wonderful opportunity for literary professionals to promote and market their work with book signings, exhibition of products, sales in large volumes and networking with other literary associates. The program includes, book launches, book signings, exhibits, workshops, speakers, entertainment, recognition banquet and dance.

Throughout this extraordinary event, many of the 1,500+ individuals and businesses listed in the "Black Authors and Published Writers Directory" will be stepping off the pages and into the spotlight to showcase their literary work.

We're going far beyond the ordinary with our extraordinary plans that include food, a warm reception and dance for socializing and more great networking. For your convenience, we have made special arrangements with the downtown, and the Auburn Hills Marriott Courtyard Hotel to provide our participants with lodging accommodations at a discount rate.
