BWB Conference June 19 -20, 2009 - Chicago, IL Posted: 12 Nov 2008 11:24 AM CST I managed to catch Gina's tweet this morning about the 2nd Blogging While Brown Conference coming up in June. I am delighted to find that the conference will indeed be in my hometown of Chicago, IL and will take place at the University Center from June 19th to June 20th. For those that are unfamiliar or may have missed the last conference, Blogging While Brown is a conference aimed at bloggers of color to meet each other, discuss current issues, and learn about the latest technology. It arose in response to widespread dissatisfaction regarding the lack of diversity in some of the other technology conferences. If you need to catch-up on what we have been writing about Blogging While Brown you can check out our BWB coverage from last year. BloggingWhileBrown.com has a noticeable upgrade, choosing to go the clean and professional Wordpress template route. Even though the announcement was just made today, there are already videos from last year's conference (including interviews done by Black Web 2.0), pictures of the conference attendees, reservation information, sponsorship information, and hotel logistics. New, this year, is a pre-conference blogging bootcamp aimed at targeting those who still have questions about how to start a blog, how to promote your blog, and how to keep it going. Starting a few hours before the conference, this will surely invite all who may have been hesitant to attend, a chance to get their feet wet! Hope to see you there!
