Digital Book World: Little Consensus on e-Book Pricing, Timing By Jim Milliot Although the two panels were separate sessions, there was a fair amount of overlap yesterday at Digital Book World's eBook Pricing and eBook Challenges panels, including Kobo's Michael Tamblyn who represented e-bookstores in both sessions. The overlap was due in part because it is difficult to know what to charge for an e-book when you don't know exactly when it should be released. In general, agents and publishers seemed more united over when an e-book should be released--after the print book--than what they should be priced at, while Tamblyn and others favored simultaneous release of hardcovers and e-books.
