by Jim Milliot With e-books the fastest-growing segment of the publishing market, the Book Industry Study Group has released a new survey, Consumer Attitudes Toward E-Book Reading. The survey examines how print book buyers access, purchase and use e-books and e-readers. According to the survey, computers remained the preferred device for reading e-books followed by the Kindle. In addition to determining what the most popular devices and formats are, the survey reveals what consumers like and dislike about using e-books and e-readers. The biggest problem in the eyes of consumers about e-readers is lack of interoperability. And the survey also suggests that e-book readers are altering their purchase habits with nearly 20% of respondents saying they've stopped buying print books in favor of buying e-books.
