Carlespie McKinney Bio: After a challenging childhood, McKinney was raised by his aunt and grandmother following the death of his mother. He earned an academic scholarship to Cranbrook High School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and later, earned both an undergraduate degree and an MBA from Wayne State University, in Detroit, Michigan.
His first book, "Why They Think I'm Crazy, Except When They Really Think About It," is a compilation of essays written in 2009 that offer his special perspective on the times of today. McKinney discusses such controversial topics as religion, politics, and domestic violence. McKinney is also a screenwriter [4 screenplays] and aspiring film director. Soon to product a "short." He believes that, "To write is to inhale and to direct is to exhale; to make films is to breathe."
Outside of life as a writer, McKinney is an independent consultant/evaluator specializing in data and statistical analysis.
He is a divorced father of four [three boys and a baby girl] and currently reside in Detroit, MI.
