Registering your trademarks is a more involved process and should not be done without the help of an attorney. However, registering your copyright protected works with the Library of Congress is more simple. The copyright office has several paper forms for different types of works. They are as follows:
Simply choose the form pertaining to your particular type of copyright and fill out the form with the pertinent information requested. The next step is to attach a deposit (2 copies of the work), pay the fee and send via Fed-Ex to the Copyright Office. However, if a copyright registrant files their copyright application online using the Copyright's office eCO system using Form CO, a registrant can simply select any of the above categories as an option without filing separate and distinct applications.
